Het Sleutelhout/de hout sleutel?

Hmmz I am not a wood expert so a key wood does not ring any bell to me, but what I can say is that the lead sounds luvely and I love how the bass c.c.comes in ;). Playing around with 8bit is always a +1 from me so...keep up the good work and drop me a PM when its finished ;).

Very interesting WIP

Swerve responds:

Thanks for your review man! Wood = bos, dus sleutelbos, hehe. I'm glad you liked it. I'll drop you a line when I'm done.

Creative, original. I like :)

Take your time, you are not gonna miss a train! Try and focus more on a controlled airflow between your meassures and it will sound way more nice ;).
I like the lines which you play, it got a nice atmosphere but its just not convincing yet. Not enough... try to be ONE with your instrument, dont PUSH it, stroke it gently and have FUN while playing, do not force yourself to play nice cause that only makes you nervous, which I can sense in your way of controlling your keys and finger behavoiour. I haven't played for YEARS now but I now got the urge of picking my accordeon out of his box ;).

Just some friendly advice from somebody who has struggled with exactly the same thing ;0
Hope that it helps.

mename3isme responds:

I think the patience advice will help the most. And yea, you're right. I play better when I get into that cool groove where you're having fun and not paying attention anymore. I guess that's the nature of improvisation.
Thanks for the review.
It makes me want to hit the streets again. I haven't been able to for a while.

Wonderfull

Makes sense it ended up in the top five.
Love the intro. Very playfull and a very luvely ongoing sound. Keeps me intrested in what will follow.

The sound reminds me to the good old amiga intro's for games. If you do not know what I mean search for it on youtube, you wont be dissepointed ;).

Keep up the creativity!

Michael425 responds:

I'm glad you think my song is worthy of top 5 man.

I'll keep the creativity flowing to newgrounds, dont you worry.

thanks for the great review Carf.

To cheesy...

Start of the song was almost promising, but after that... a kinda boring void filled with claps. The sound of the melody is way to cheesy and does not really create an atmosphere to the whole song. When the bass finally start I was already done with the repeditive lines. No variation in rhytm or lines...
Could be *funny* as a middle part for a track but this is not my style at all.

Please do not feel offended, I just give my opinion on the track, the overall quality is decent, you know how software works. Now create something stunning!

DjSc00p responds:

lol yeah i guess i tried to make the longest out of one rhythym, and i was too lazy to variate lol. I kinda thought i overdid the repetitiveness also, so yeah ill probably try to variate or make this part shorter and go into another melody or lead. Thanks for the review and im not offended i agree with you :D thanks for the review

The idea is wonderfull

But the way it has been worked out is just way to sloppy... you rush trough the music like you have to catch the last train, there is hardly any emotion in the lines itself, its bashed on the keyboard without any velocity. The way you mixed the songs into eachother could be way smoother...

For the rest, a really cool idea.

darphfluffy responds:

actually, they were mixed together very smoothly

was it a midi...

for one or another reason it just...does not...fit... its to tightly pushed into those lines of bassdrums... anyway I KNOW that you make rock mostly often and I hope that this is just a little *walk in the park*, its fun, but not to be taken to serious. Then its all good, if you SERIOUSLY want to create more technolikish trance and stuff i would advice to try a different approach then a cover like this.
Still the idea was very intresting ;). now back to the guitar riffs you!

Casualty responds:

Hahaha, you are so right. Obviously it IS a midi file, and this is just for fun.

And okay mister, I'll write some more metaaaaal!

Cheers!

Raw!

and I like that my zuiderbuur ;).
Dont know if the guitar is soft or hardware but it kicks as and if Dark reviews it, then it has to be good ;).
Keep up the good work, it sounds promising.

Casualty responds:

Tis een echte gitaar, ze, wa dachte nu? =P

Thanks for the review, dude! Cheers!

Flowin nicely!

Reminds me to that old *Guarella8 style (Tiesto and Ferry Costen).
It flows nicely, got a nice story to tell and does not get (to) repeditive.
Keep up the good work, you know how to handle the tools ;).

DJ-NOSEBLEED responds:

Thanks!

Once again

Nice job my friend!

Great sounds, love the basskicks and for sure the 8 bit part ;).
Well you know the drill, you keep uploading shiz, I keep an eye on it ;p.

Hotplurplegnome responds:

thanks again my man
you know we should be collabing...

Its a remix!

And you rather point it out in your comment.
Would be very good if it was a 100% your own idea but sorry its a bit to easy to create a mix like this and get all the props...
Try to be more original and you get my respect.

Dj-Final responds:

well.. you win some... you lose some. this song was 100% from scratch except the vocals i dont know how much more original you can get, but okay. thx for the review.
