Love it!

5/5 - 9 + Fave!
Sorry, giving away tens is only once a year ;p. But still, totally unexpected goodness all over. Keep up the great work.
Which tools did you use btw?

commandycan responds:

used famitracker, an 8-bit program!

thanks for the review

Thanks for the invite ;)

Well you asked for it, so lets see, I had to get back to your old track to dig it all up but I am all back. Well the first thing which catch my ear is that you seriously improved your sound, it is nicely polished.
Nice piano and good worked out melo´s.
I think that the style of the track itself would fit a game like FZero or something.
Keep up the creativity.

And for the 0´ers... well... sadly we got to life with it... at least you scored another 5 ;0.

Step responds:

Hey man, thanks a LOT for reviewing this :D. Even though I made this like a month and a half ago, so far I haven't made a better song (although I think I came close with Against the Clock). I'm happy you actually went to check out the old track too to compare :D.

Yeah, everyone seems to like the piano :P. Except a friend of mine at school, who loved everything BUT the piano. Hm, yeah, this does have a similar style to the FZero songs...

Yep, 0-bombers suck, although as you said, we'll have to put up with it. Really glad you liked this, and thanks for the review!

Classic in the making, keep them comin.

What we need, more Genesis remakes :).
Keep up the creativity.

deliverance84 responds:

Newgrounds is so unrealistic these days... why these scores on something as you actually can hear that someone has put a freaking heart and soul to remix a classic song, and it actually worked out ;).
Well a 4 (please dont take it personal, they are rare)
9 Stars cause it is a Genesis Classic (always got a weak heart for the 16bit sega).
Keep up the creativity.
PS. Would love to be in your hometown to visit Camden again ;p.

deliverance84 responds:

Wow man, couldnt agree more. The original takes some beating man, but i thought i'd give it a shot anyways. Thanks for the high praise, and im very happy you enjoyed this one. Camden Market man, my childhood memories of when it was a great hot spot, till the massive fire, It has sprung back well thank god. thanks again for the incitefull and very possitive review, on one of my lowest scoring songs.

European Sonfest...

THey are using this song in Holland on the European Songfest. I rather heared YOUR version in that same show ;). Not that I care about commercial television.. but anyways, keep up the creativity ;).

jamesmillerband responds:

"Ik ben verliefd (Sha-la-lie)" (I'm in love (Sha-la-lie)) is a song written by Pierre Kartner which will represent the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, Norway. On 7 February 2010 it was decided that 17 year old singer Sieneke will perform the song at Oslo after winning the the Nationaal Songfestival contest.
when i read your review, i looked it up : )

For a first *trance* song...

It is DAMN good. I wish more people at NG knew how to create some variation in a track. Keep up the good work.
Just bumped in to check out how serious you are with competitions, but if you know how to handle the software, I am sure there will be a lot of creative love in the contest. Keep up the great work. I will fave ya to get you of that nasty 13 ;p.

Step responds:

Man, variation is my problem :(. Sometimes I vary so much my song switches from nice and varied to totally random :\. I was never too good at song structure, but anyway, glad you enjoyed this! Ahh, I never knew contests give me exposure. I should think up contests more often :P. Yeah, I hope it turns out OK. Thanks for the review, and thanks a lot for faving me! XD. I'll make another news post asking people to fav me when I reach 666 people with me on their favourite artists list (aren't I ambitious XD) but for now, I got rid of that 13 :P. Thanks again!

SOmething is completely wrong...

... in the tones... don't get me wrong, I like the way you tried to mix this but... something is so amazingly false that I seriously had to check my browser if not two music things where running at the same time, which...wasnt...
my advice, re-check every single line if they are in tune, then give the upload another try...

Da-Jaeff responds:

don't feel like it

What can I say...?

Another instant classic, but what else can we expect from you? Just like always a nice piece of artwork. Although I do not create a lot of trance anymore these days, it inspires me for sure.
Keep up the great work.

NemesisTheory responds:

Thank you carf! <3
Trance is definitely an inspiration genre :)

Meh

It is missing that KICK that really makes hardstyle hardstyle. The melody lines are *ok* but all just kinda copies of things that we hear already everywhere. Just that standard *Headhunterz* clone... would get way more points from my side as a hardstyle lover (and producer) if it would also had that REAL dutch vibe. This is just a bit hard-trance with Hardstyle influence... still a good try, keep up the good work.
But I rather go for creativity then for a *familiar* sound which 8 out of 10 people digg anyways...

Z-Tone responds:

hey man
hotlplurple gnome here
i know what you mean
but yeah its a track on the older side.... atleast im still using reason there
check out my newer shit,
"but all just kinda copies of things that we hear already everywhere"
um these are remixes of newgrounds tracks

Tunneltrance!

The good old 90's when trance was still just an undiscovered Gem which slowly started to show off what is was/is capable of. The good old Tunnel trance.

Gewoon Ongenuanceerd spelen met geluid ;)

Sorry but that is the best way how I can express myself.
It is far from special but it shows off what you have learned the past couple of years. we all go through periods like this and you even have the guts to upload it.

Why? Just because you can ;).

Keep up the creativity.

Swerve responds:

I never heard of the term tunneltrance, but I guess you know what you are talking about ;) Thanks a lot for your reviewing, I'll review some of your songs in return!
